Journey to My Job
仕事に行きましょ!
by Katie Eveleth (Copyright © 2025)
Journey to My Job © is a manga (Japanese comic) which follows coworkers that are trying to get to work but various extreme and unlikely events occur on the commute. It is an action comedy!
This book was made using traditional Japanese manga techniques. Each panel was hand sketched in pencil, then inked with traditional inking tools on A4 size manuscript paper. Then I cut, pasted and scratched screen tones (dot texture) for shading. The printed book is B5 size!
I started this book in a manga production studio at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan. The first chapter is featured in となりのお嬢様 , a 関西外国語大学CIE self published book, only printed in December 2023. The authors are students from the ASPマンガプロ2023Bゼミ class. Thank you David Yamato, our sensei and editor!
